Sunshine Kids Gala

Event Information

Friday, February 24th, 2012
6:00 PM
Rochester Riverside Convention Center

The annual charity event is actually two events for the price of one!  A ticket allows for admission to the RADA/Rochester Rotary Sunshine Kids Gala on Friday, February 24th, as well as the Rochester International Auto Show Sneak Preview on Wednesday, February 29th.

The Gala is an elegant event with a cocktail party, sit-down dinner, silent and live auctions, and the opportunity to meet the Keynote Speaker for the evening, former Buffalo Bill Steve Tasker.  Proceeds benefit the Rotary Sunshine Campus for children with disabilities, and the RADA children’s charities.

The Auto Show Sneak Preview is a pre-party to the opening of the Rochester International Auto Show.  Guests will have an opportunity to tour the more than 200 vehicles on display for the show in an elegant setting that includes carving stations and refreshments.  It’s an ideal setting for getting an up close view of the latest vehicles coming to market.

Please join us for both of these fantastic events!

Highlights from last years Sunshine Kids Gala

"It is important to build upon success and that is what the Sunshine Kids Gala has done in its second year.  The Rochester Auto Dealers Association presented a check to the Sunshine Campus this past Tuesday for $45,000.

Attendance at the Sunshine Kids Gala increased this year from 380 to 480 people, RADA honored Auto Dealer Employees of the Year, and Rotarians Peter Sarratori and Andy Gray received the Building Bridges Award. Jim Isaac was presented with the Community Humanitarian Award for his dedication to the Community and the Sunshine Campus.

As the tears and celebration set the tone of an evening full of hope and opportunity, the live auction raised more than fifteen thousand dollars.  Drew Pearson, Super Bowl Champion, closed the evening with remarks about being part of a team, achieving success and contributing to a community.

The Sunshine Kids Gala has exemplified partnerships, common goals and a dedication to making a difference. Thank you to everyone who supported and attended this year's event, to the Sunshine Kids Gala Committee for their hard work and dedication,  and we look forward to seeing you at next year's Gala!" - Rochester Rotary Club
